Speech Therapist

No day is the same, you will have ongoing therapy with clients and also one-off assessments for NDIS funding, Assistive technology and trials of devices if required.

You will have flexibility with your start and finish times and your required breaks. You can decide if you commence work from home or at a client’s home (home visit). You will have a supervisor who is extremely dedicated and supportive. This role is working autonomously from your home and community.

About The Role:

Working within an multi-disciplinary team, you will assist in providing assessment(s), reports and recommendations regarding Speech needs, communication recommendations and ongoing therapy requirements to client and or carer while providing support and education during the services.

Responsibilities:

  • Speech therapy assessments and interventions working with adults and children with a range of disabilities and mental health
  • Conducting reports to support ongoing funding for clients under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and other insuring organisations to assist with plan review processes and AT requests for communication requirements
  • Liaising with key personnel involved in the client’s rehabilitation journey to ensure continuum of care is maintained. This includes referrers, other allied health staff, and family as requested by the client
  • Demonstrated high standard of clinical documentation and report writing, relating to clinical findings, diagnosis’ and recommendations within a timely manner
  • Follow policies and procedures to ensure all work is reputable and your safe while working!

Occupational Therapist Postion available at Correlate Connections

Occupational Therapist

We are looking for a Full-Time or Part-Time Occupational Therapist with a variety of knowledge across, assessment and therapy. The role will primarily be working from your home, services may also be provided in other settings, such as schools, client homes, etc. Flexible working hours to suit your personal needs and pending on COVID-19 restrictions.

Working autonomously, you will assist in providing assessment(s) of activities of daily living and the home environment; recommendations regarding assistive equipment and home modifications; client and carer support and education.

· Occupational Therapy specific assessment and interventions working with adults with: Neurological conditions, mental illness, and physical disabilities and children with a range of disabilities.

· Completing one-on-one therapy such as: cognitive rehabilitation for ADL planning, upper limb therapy and splinting for neurological upper limb injuries, equipment trial and prescription.

· Conducting functional needs assessments under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and other insuring organisations to assist with plan review processes

· Liaising with key personnel involved in the client’s rehabilitation journey to ensure continuum of care is maintained. This includes referrers, other allied health staff, and family as requested by the client

· Demonstrated high standard of clinical documentation and report writing, relating to clinical findings and recommendations within a timely manner

· Supervising a small team of occupational therapists with assessment training, resources, knowledge and understanding of their roles.

Careers in Support Services

Psychologist

We are looking for a full-time Psychologist/Provisional Psychologist with a variety of knowledge across, assessment, therapy and supporting people with high behaviours. The role will primarily be working from our office, your home, services may also be provided in other settings, such as schools, client homes, etc.

No day is the same, you will have ongoing therapy with clients and also one-off assessments for NDIS funding, comprehensive assessments for diagnosis, supporting people with high behaviours and completing behaviours support plans and following the NDIS guidelines for restrictive practises.

There is no such thing as KPI’s at Correlate Connections, we understand that if we do not provide the referrals then you cannot expect to complete the workload.

· Conducting reports to support ongoing funding for clients under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and other insuring organisations to assist with plan review

· implementing Positive Behavioural Support Plans to ongoing clients (when required)

· Liaising with key personnel involved in the client’s rehabilitation journey to ensure continuum of care is maintained. This includes referrers, other allied health staff, and family as requested by the client

· Demonstrated high standard of clinical documentation and report writing, relating to clinical findings, diagnosis’ and recommendations within a timely manner

· Follow policies and procedures to ensure all work is reputable and your safe while working!

Careers in Support Services

Occupational Therapy Assistant

As an occupational therapy assistant, you will be working alongside a qualified occupational therapist to implement a therapy plan to increase independence in ADLs for our clients.

You will be able to:

– Learn and implement a range of interventions to assist your clients with their concerns.

– Promote independence so your clients can participate in all their ADLs.

– Inform clients and parents of the scope of occupational therapy, supports we can provide and supports that other professionals can provide.

Caseload:

The caseload in this role is a paediatric caseload. All our clients are seen either in the home, school or clinic (if requested). The caseload would include up to 5 clients per day.

Administrative tasks:

As a qualified occupational therapist will be completing therapy plans for each client, the only administrative task to complete throughout the day is session notes and resource development.

Professional development:

Mentoring is provided to all of our staff. As you get closer to graduating, you will be provided with additional mentoring to support you in becoming a qualified occupational therapist.

Salary package:

We offer above award rates of $26/hour for all our allied health assistance (on a part time or full time contract).

You will also be reimbursed for all travel in between clients at a rate of 80c/km.
